When I first started this blog, I shared my desire to test out the stories about the small eBayer who with some patience and a lot of persevereance builds an empire starting with a few paper clips. In fact, a friend of mine sent me an article the other day about the IRS agent fined for failing to report over $40,000 of eBay income.
I'm not even close to making $40,000, but since I began this blog a little over a month ago, I've actually reached a few milestones I feel particularly proud of.
1) I've gone from fewer than 30 stars to 42 as of the writing of this blog.
2) I've managed to maintain a 100% positive rating among my buyers, despite some setbacks
3) I've had close to $800 in sales since January 30
4) I launched into the world of blogging and have managed to get about 20 or so visitors a day from places as far away as Thailand, Russia and Saudi Arabia
I've still got a long way to go, of course, but I was feeling a little sentimental and the mood struck me to pat myself on the back. The best way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time, so I will happily keep chewing away until I've got this whole elephant under my belt - and of course, I'll continue to keep you informed of every bite that I take!
