Going Italian Oulet Shopping - And Taking Orders!

Ok so I've been holding out on you.  Remember I told you guys in this post about my Italian father?  Well, I have a lot of family in Italy, and one of my favorite Italian cousins is getting married, so I'm heading over to the old country after a long three year absence to watch my crazy cousin Gianluca get hitched.

Aaaanyway, since my husband and son are staying home for financial reasons, I'm going to take advantage of a couple of days of my trip to hit some of the key Italian outlets.

Every day I move further away from an eBay-only sales strategy toward a personal-shopping based model, so if you haven't ordered anything from me yet, here's your chance!  Some of the outlets I will have access to are:
  • Gucci
  • Prada / Miu Miu
  • Louboutin
  • Tods
  • Zanotti
  • Rumor has it there is a Louis Vuitton outlet but I don't know where it is
  • Any others you guys want to send me to
The Italian outlets are a shopper's paradise.  I visited the Tods outlet in Casette d'Ete with one of my cousins a few years ago, back when Tods was the "it" brand of the year, and got a pair of Tods loafers for $88.  So if you think of anything you'd like me to pick up for you my email address is in the "About Me " box on the left side of the page.  Feel free to use it!

Where are you going in Italy? I have an obsession with Italy! I spent a week and a half in Tuscany + a few days in the Sorrento area two summers ago and I miss being there everyday. We are planning a trip back next summer. I can't wait. We are still working out the details so if you have any recommendations of where to visit I'd love to hear them!

I'm going several places, starting with Sicily for 3 days for my cousin's wedding, then on to my dad's cousin's place in a suburb of Rome for a couple of days, then outlet shopping near Florence for one day, then to Milan for a business meeting (for my real job).

My dad's family is from a region called Le Marche, which is essentially on the non-touristy central East Coast of Italy. There are some awesome out of the way places there that are AMAZING and completely tourist free. When I was growing up I would go spend the summer in a beach town called Civitanova Marche - not a ton to see but close to some real gems such as Macerata, Camerino, Urbino and other very typical Italian towns. If you're looking for the "real" Italy, this would be a great place to go.

On the other hand, Sicily is just UNbelievable. It's messy, rustic and beautiful and completely different from mainland Italy. The town of Agrigento has some of the best conserved Greek ruins in the world, and Sicilian beaches are famous for their beauty. Also fairly tourist-free.

Let me know if I can help in any way!

Someday I want to say I own a pair of Gucci shoes. How much cheaper are they there?

And from your description to Lisa, I'd also now love to visit Italy!

Depending on the style I can probably get you a nice pair there for about $150 - maybe less.

if you're going to be near Firenze then you can also take orders for Dolce & Gabbana, Celine, Fendi, Armani, Marni, Stella Mcartney, Alexander McQueen, Trussardi, Cavalli, Bottega Veneta, Valentino....though LV I've never seen! :) TQM!

My plan is to go to the ones in Florence because of the Louboutin outlet but I'll go somewhere else if I get orders for other brands. There is an LV outlet somewhere but I haven't figured out where in Italy it is yet.
