2) People who send $100 offers for my $389 shoes. My response? I very politely send a counteroffer for $379, just so they know how it feels.
On a happier note, here are some pics of my latest inventory items. I've already posted one of them. You won't believe me when I tell you how much I paid for these. Are those Giuseppe Zanotti, you ask? Why yes. Yes, they are.
I have one more but I haven't taken pictures yet.
PS: Do you think buyers mind my dirty carpet?

OMG...you're so bad but that's a funny counteroffer. : )
My son ordered off ebay on May 26. Item showed shipped UPS the next day with a delivery date of June 4. It didn't update again for several days and showed it sat in Washington state. Next time it updated the delivery date was now June 7! There were three updates over that long period of time! UPS sure isn't what it used to be.
Funny, the comment counter says 0 but there are two comments on this post. Weird.
Anyway, I wrote to one of the two buyers whose item is delayed and she said she also sells and is experiencing something similar. Who knows what's going on but I'm a nervous wreck!
Honestly I would say yes customers do mind a dirty carpet...or any carpet show in a pic for that matter. If I were you I would do one of two things 1. go buy some posterboard or a trifold from office max or 2. crop the photos in a free editing software like www.photobucket.com. I think that would do wonders for your items.
OMG that's a great idea. I hadn't even thought of that. I was saving up for one of those product cubes, but this is much cheaper and easier!
Hi there!!! I just wanted to chime in on the carpet question. I am only saying this from a consumer point of view but I would not take photos of the shoes on carpet. Get creative...take pictures of them on your wood table or outside on your patio. You have to think about who your buyers are...people who like to look chic and who are willing to drop money on your products are going to be turned off by the carpet. You may have a fabulous product but a lot of potential bidders are not bidding because they are not seeing the shoes just the carpet...you know?
You can also drape fabric over a chair or the carpet and place the shoes on that.
Good luck! =)
Do not spend money on an expensive cube. Look how great the photos turned out with just posterboard. All my photos are taken only using a trifold. Great job!
